The Cleveland Indians and San Diego Padres have agreed to a trade that will send Mike Clevinger to the National League, according to reports.

The trade is pending physicals for all players involved.

According to sources, nine players are involved in the deal with Cleveland receiving a package of six players in exchange for Clevinger.

Joey Gallo of the Texas Rangers has been the subject of trade rumors ahead of Monday's deadline.

The Rangers have been discussing Gallo in talks, along with starter Lance Lynn, per a report.

The Tampa Bay Rays and San Diego Padres have shown interest in Gallo.

According to a source, the Cleveland Indians are asking for Atlanta's No. 2 prospect outfielder Drew Waters.

The Chicago Cubs have acquired designated hitter Jose Martinez from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for a combination of players to be named later or cash considerations.

Chicago had been searching for a right-handed bat in the days leading up to Monday's trade deadline.

Martinez has hit .239 with two homers, 10 RBIs and a .717 OPS while bouncing between designated hitter (13 games) and first base (six) for the Rays.

The San Diego Padres are buyers at the deadline and have completed a seven-player trade with the Seattle Mariners.

San Diego will acquire catcher Austin Nola and two right-handers for a package that includes outfield prospect Taylor Trammell.

The Padres are making a series of trades in an attempt to qualify for the postseason for the first time in 14 years. They are 21-15 after nine straight losing seasons.

The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired Taijuan Walker from the Seattle Mariners.

Seattle will receive a player to be named or cash considerations.

Walker is 2-2 with a 4.00 ERA in five starts this season. He will be a free agent after the 2020 season, for which he is making $740,000 for the 60 games.

The Texas Rangers have struggled and are listening to trade offers for Lance Lynn ahead of Monday's deadline.

Lynn, 33, is owed $8 million in 2021.

He is 4-0 and has a 1.59 ERA through seven starts.

The New York Yankees are among the clubs that have checked in with the Seattle Mariners about Taijuan Walker, according to a source.

New York recently placed James Paxton on the injured list with a forearm flexor strain.

Walker will be a free agent after the 2020 season.
